Senior Accessories Development Manager - PVH Corp.

The Senior Accessories Development Manager acts as the liaison between the Senior Design Director of Accessories & Cold Weather, Product Admin, GSC, Accessories vendor base and the Dongguan office.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the Leather goods and Cold Weather development calendars on a seasonal basis to support the needs of Design in collaboration with cross functional teams on cost and sourcing.
  • Work with Sr. Design Director to develop material qualities and metal hardware that fit the aesthetic and cost structure of the brand.
  • Partner with Design team in regard to technical specs to ensure that accurate and clear information is captured and sent to suppliers.
  • Partner with Art Design team and Sr. Trim Developer to manage and coordinate trims and packaging development and costing as part of Accessories package.
  • Utilize PLM/ PDM system to manage and track samples, development and costing.
  • Own tech pack generation in PLM/ PDM, maintaining BOM and costing updates throughout development cycle.
  • Manages development budget, constantly researching innovations and implementing new efficiencies to save cost.
  • Coordinate and attend vendor and factory meetings and oversee approvals as necessary, under the direction of the Design team.
  • Partner with GSC and Compliance to meet testing, labeling, shipping requirements from various international hubs, across leather product and knitted accessories.
  • Partner with Merch Planning to achieve target costing and maintain sku efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners to develop long term strategies to achieve the goals of the Accessories business.
  • Ensure product integrity by facilitating testing and understanding test reports of all component parts prior to bulk orders.
  • Generate and maintain product development schedule for samples and bulk; monitor the timely approval of submits: labdips, materials standards, hardware standards, etc. 
  • Manage and track the timely delivery of samples, troubleshooting and proactively problem solving as needed throughout season.
  • Manage WIP development tracking as it pertains to Accessories, and message out updates to cross-functional partners in a timely manner.
  • Build strong relationship with overseas development team, providing leadership and clear direction in driving the Accessories development process and calendar.
  • Accountability for on-time delivery of materials to factory, and samples to NYO.
  • Maintain a fabric and trim library detailing material, quality, supplier and price information.

Qualifications:

Experience:  

  • 5-7 years of Accessories Development Experience.
  • Solid knowledge of leather goods and accessories development, technical requirements and functionality.
  • Intricate knowledge of Accessories size and measuring standards.
  • Prior knowledge of procuring and tanning leather skins, leather quality grading, and leveraging skins to achieve better costing.
  • Technical experience of metal hardware development and process.
  • Prior relationships with leather goods vendors and tanneries, hardware vendors etc.

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science or Art, directly related to Fashion/ Accessories/ Product Development and Merchandising

Skills:  Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and PLM/ PDM/ GFE
