SAMPLE CUTTER - Luxury Bridal / Evening

POSITION SUMMARY

Highly-skilled sample cutter to mark and cut fabrics according to patterns. This is a part time position that may turn into full time.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Spreading, marking and cutting fabric
• Calculate and document yields
• Maintain fabric inventories
• Identifying potential fabric problems and defects
• Organized and prioritize cutting according to the needs of the Technical Design and Design teams

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have 2+ years of experience
• Knowledge of grading and marking
• Ability to work with high-end fabrics and laces
• Ability to understand matching laces
• Ability to understand pattern pieces in order to position and measure fabrics to obtain maximum yields
• Ability to recognize and mark or discard fabrics with defects
• Able to read cutting ticket to determine dimensions, fabrics, trims and quantities to cut
• Able to handle multiple projects and meet critical deadlines
• Detail oriented and organized
• A team player
