SALES SPECIALIST - Bloomingdale's - White Plains, NY
REPORTS TO: Shop Manager
LOCATION: Bloomingdale’s
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Sales Specialist is responsible for gaining new clients and continuing to service existing clients in order to drive sales, grow and sustain the brand. Under the leadership and guidance of the Shop Manager, the Sales Specialist is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, establishing and developing strong customer relationships, building individual sales volume and establishing new accounts. They will demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to growing their customer base and partner effectively with other team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Resolves various customer service issues
- Consistent sales performance with demonstrated results in achieving and exceeding individual and store sales quota required
- Performs opening/closing duties
- Accountable for protecting MaxMara assets and minimizing shrink
- Maintains strong product knowledge to convey to clients
- Able to work in a team oriented environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking with minimal supervision
- Required to work a flexible schedule based on business needs that includes, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Maintain positive outlook and professional demeanor while supporting company initiatives
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and learn new procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers and management
- Maintains a clean working environment and insure presentation of product is consistently too standard
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively
- RTW and/or shoe experience is a plus; product experience in luxury or high-end retail is strongly preferred
- Enjoys meeting and interacting with customers
- Proficient computer skills
- Energy, attention to detail, initiative, and enthusiasm are required
