SALES REPRESENTATIVE

This International company is a leader in its niche, offering innovative and customized solutions to its customers. They are an international Fiber producer operating in over 70 countries. Great location.

This individual will work with customers to find what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process. They will also work to find new sales leads, through business directories, client referrals, etc. in order to grow the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategy for continued growth in warp knitting (WK) and weaving (WE) business units identifying sustainable customers and segments to target
  • Establish forecast for sales target for the full year
  • Meet sales targets established in strategic review/budget
  • Ensure company meets customer requirements via a thorough customer forecast process managed by customer service
  • Introduce company to downstream companies – key brands and retailers
  • Actively participate in and manage the sales cycle from initial contact through to repeat orders
  • Have a technical competency in knitting, weaving, dyeing
  • Manage technical claims with the technical team to ensure minimum financial impact to company while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Develop new product opportunities with existing customers
  • Develop new customer/market opportunities to better utilize company’s capabilities
  • Manage inventory control with OPCO
  • Ensure adequate toll manufacturing is in place to ensure our product has a route to market
  • Provides customer technical support
  • Monitors external commission warping
  • Handles external quality complaints

Required Skills/Experience

  • Strong sales experience and proven record of achieving target metrics
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers, management, and production
  • Experience in Warp Knit and Weaving market segments a plus
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software for general business purposes as well as application for specific data analysis needs. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, etc.) or equivalent data analysis programs
  • Frequent travel will be necessary; must be able to procure a passport for international travel
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10-15 years of sales experience; textile manufacturing preferred
