SALES MANAGER

SUMMARY

Responsible for managing, organizing, and directing the sales team based on both organizational and industry needs and requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Job Specific

  • Sales revenue:  Continuously meet each salesperson to monitor the flow of accounts meetings, bookings, sales, shipments, etc..
  • Sales Records: Provide upper management sales figures based on ADS reports and projections created by the sales team.
  • Sales Trips:  Travel with sales as needed to meet with accounts to service their needs and  bring back accurate sales discussions to upper management
  • Weekly Sales Meetings : Prepare relevant weekly sales discussions and meetings to educate, motivate,  and  encourage sales growth
  • Sales Meetings with Management: Responsible to make sure each sales person is planning and recapping their meetings properly to facilitate smooth follow up after the meetings.
  • Sales Liaison: Interface with production, design, accounting, shipping, etc. as needed problem solve and facilitate a smoother work flow
  • Projections and Sales increases:  Continuously review sales figures to analyze and strategize sales potential and growth.   Goal is sales growth and not to just maintain 
  • Accounts Details:  Interface with accounts as needed to inform them, listen to their needs and to elevate discussions to upper management
  • Team Atmosphere  Foster sales to have a team attitude among themselves and with in the Idea Nuova Company.
  • Interface with Upper Management: Review details with management as needed.

Required Skills / Competencies:

  • Effective use of time management
  • Prompt follow up with all requests in a professional manner to best high light the company
  • Microsoft, Power Point and Excel skills to help buyers work with sales more effectively
  • Organized data and records
  • Willing to work and think outside the box to grow accounts
  • Team player
  • Effectively explain buyers needs and to manage all stages from start to finish.
  • Negotiate costs and discussion with buyers and upper management
  • Strong communication skills verbally and written.
  • Professional appearance on a daily basis, as well as,  attending all meetings
  • Able to take direction and carry through from beginning to the end

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferably required
  • Previous sales  and management experience is required
  • Polished skills verbally, written and visually
  • Strong PC skills, especially Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to motivate a sales team and  educate them as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to carry and travel with sample bags
  • Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand and move around for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to see and hear within normal parameters.
  • Communication skills using the spoken and written word.
  • Finger dexterity to manipulate objects (keyboard, calculator, fax, etc.)

Working Environment:

Work is performed in a standard office setting. May require travel between primary worksite to other sites.
