SALES MANAGER – Handbags and Accessories
Top fashion company in NYC is looking for a Sales Manager for Handbags and Accessories. This position has the potential to convert to full-time.
Looking for someone with experience in front end selling from wholesale, supplier into retailers, business development, opening up new accounts, making sales pitches around product propositions to senior buyers/mgt.
- Meets and builds relationships with Senior Executives of Major Retailers
- Follows-up on prospect meetings; successfully negotiates and acquires new Clients as well as expanding relationships with existing Clients.
- Build and grow a strong Sales Team by identifying leaders and creating high levels of engagement and developing best practices
- Ensures that transaction costs related to business generation are within budget parameters and competitive for the activities sought in achieving aggressive Sales goals.
- Oversees and ensures the success of Sales derived from established partnerships
- Helps to develop Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategy and directs related Sales tactics and practices.
- Reports results in a timely manner, assesses output of various Sales channels, and proposes and implements mid-course corrections and improvements to ensure ongoing success of connection activity.
- 7-10 years of successful Sales and Sales Management experience in Sales, Sourcing and production
- Experience working with Handbags, Jewelry and/or Accessories in a wholesale environment. Strong knowledge of sourcing markets
- Quantifiable accomplishments in development and attainment of aggressive Sales goals.
- Thorough knowledge and background in Retail Sales Channels such as Department Store Chains and Mass Merchandisers.
- Demonstrated success in translating Merchandising plans into effective Sales strategies in the jewelry or consumer product industry.
- Entrepreneurial drive, track record of initiative, personal responsibility, and ownership of work to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goals in a high growth organization.
- Ability to manage Sales and Sales Forecast with precision.
- Competency in reading and interpreting competitive and industry data to ensure informed and accurate decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly make a sales plan operational for all products.
