SALES ASSISTANT - Private Label Cashmere / Knitwear

We are a multi-brand cashmere company looking for an experienced sales assistant to represent our private label and branded Men's and Women's fine cashmere collection.  While under the umbrella of the largest supplier of cashmere in the global market, the NY office is a small team that allows opportunity for hands-on experience across the complete product cycle.  Having just launched a brand in 2016, the position also entails involvement in all aspects of launching a new brand, including marketing and establishing a global e-commerce presence.  This position is ideal for a business minded individual interested in being involved in all aspects of the apparel process.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide administrative support to the sales team.
• Account maintenance - Manage and update customer files as needed.
• Build and manage WIP reports.
• Apparel Magic (or any PLM software) and EDI detailed management - knowledge of logistics/backend.
• Customer service.
• Maintain reports and data.

The ideal candidate must be driven, reliable, enthusiastic, and have an entrepreneurial spirit with the following core competencies:

• Strong Excel experience, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, function independently
• Operate with a sense of urgency, take initiative 

Education & Experience:

• Computer skills including, but not limited to Microsoft Office (including Outlook), Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and use of Apparel Magic is ideal.
• 1-3 years of experience in the apparel industry, back office experience.
• Knitwear industry knowledge and experience a plus.
