SALES ASSISTANT

Support sales department collection team by executing administrative sales functions. Be proactive in learning the function of sales within the organization in order to move up to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Set and maintain showroom and sample collections.
  • Assist sales executive at market appointments.
  • Execute the day to day administrative sales functions.
  • Analyze weekly shipping reports.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales recap.
  • Daily communication with buying office.
  • Learn retail business process.
  • Be proactive on NY major account sales floors.
  • Enter and check seasonal orders in AS400
  • Facilitate reorders by tracking sells in Cognos and checking ATS in AS400
  • Compile reports from the BMS system daily.
  • Monitor sample closets by sending and receiving samples.
  • Manage productions and sales samples, and debit note
  • Market preparation including; but not limited to:
  • Re-racking merchandise and maintaining showroom order.
  • Assisting in model dressing and overall closet maintenance.
  • Review style numbers to ensure it is organized by color and fabric, season, and dates.
  • Use Cognos, featured with merchandising, visual, and sample coordination.
  • Participate in Market Week and attend all sales appointments with buyers
  • Check in and out samples using internal system 
  • Assist at fashion shows by packing and unpack trunks, taking part of location *preparation, and changing the models.                  
  • Work with the visual team on floor sets ( changing mannequins)
  • Build binders to educate Elie Tahari coordinators and specialists on new season
  • Pull line sheets and print updated store bookings
  • Organize showroom samples for appointments

 Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years' related internship highly preferred
  • Wholesale and domestic sales experience
  • Experience with and or exposure to the luxury market, multiple classifications or vendors/stores
  • Technical Skills preferred: AS400, Excel, Cognos,
