Sales Assistant & Support Coordinator

Large NYC-based fashion Accessories company is looking for a Sales Assistant & Support Coordinator to play an important role in the account management processes.  This teammate will act as an interdepartmental liaison between the Operations, Design, Planning, Production, and the Sales teams.  The Sales Assistant & Support Coordinator provides administrative support for the Sales Team when preparing for meetings, coordinating samples, completing supplier / item set-up, and order entry / tracking.

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Create PowerPoint presentations and other meeting preparation for client presentations
  • Generate and update weekly reports in support of the Sales Team and our business objectives
  • Complete order entry for new purchase orders
  • Partner with the Production and Operations teams to track purchase orders to ensure on time delivery
  • Review open order reports to ensure shipping updates are delivered in a timely manner
  • Complete new vendor and item set-up for retailers
  • Prepare samples for line reviews, assist in showroom sample set-up and organization
  • Send and track samples to buyers
  • Coordinate with internal teams to review EDI transmissions and highlight potential issues, based on retailer requirements
  • Assist with other special projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business or related field
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in sales support, account management, planning and/or merchandising in a wholesale environment
  • A self-starter with a proven ability to manage projects through to completion while working autonomously and collaboratively
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities
  • High work quality and accuracy
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills – prior planning experience and retail math acumen are preferred 
  • Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office; advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel including pivot tables, v look-ups and macros
