Role responsibilities include:
The primary responsibility of the Saks Digital Strategy Intern is to
support the Digital Initiatives team in special projects, strategic planning
& analysis, and ongoing program management for Saks Fifth Avenue. This
unique role will have exposure to senior leadership and allow the intern to
take an active role on the team throughout the Fall semester.

Primary
Goals:
Program Assistance and Management
- Help pursue
identified priority work-streams to drive programs forward for the Saks
Digital Initiatives team.
- Participate
in key work-streams and task forces; including the pursuit of digital &
product innovation and eCommerce operational oversight
- Support the creation of
strategic content, coordination across teams and communication of decisions/deadlines
- Support
overall program development by overseeing identified deliverables
Special
Projects
- Assist in identified special projects that directly impact the Saks
digital team
- Support of specific
projects will be determined at the time of hire based on project roll out
timing and specified need
- Lead and present projects
to leadership when identified by the team
Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Current MBA Candidate, local to NY city area
- Must be able to work on site at least 2-3 days a week
Skills – job specific knowledge and
abilities, general business acumen, other required skills
- Strong strategic and analytical background
- Proven effective communication skills
- Ability to take complex information and create a
compelling and understood narrative
- General understanding of retail and digital
organizations
Experience – level or related/unrelated work
experience, number of years in prior jobs
- At least 3+ years work experience prior to
business school
- Experience working with executive leadership in
some capacity
- Previous experience in project management
Competencies – technical or other skills such as
position specific software, financial skills, leadership, team building,
training
- Exceptional Powerpoint skills, proficient in
Excel, Outlook etc.
- Basic understanding of all business functions
(Finance, Marketing, Operations, Product etc.)
- Demonstrated capability of leading a
cross-functional program
