We are a fast-growing apparel manufacturer looking for a motivated and talented Career Cut & Sew Knit Designer to join our team. Candidate must possess a contemporary aesthetic and an exquisite taste level.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Design in Fashion Design/ Art
• At least 8+ years of design experience in Women’s Cut & Sew Knits
• Must have advanced skills with Adobe Illustrator/ Photoshop and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
• Must be able to work independently
• Excellent presentation skills
• Highly-organized and detail-oriented
• Must be a team player

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to identify and distill key trends and new fabrications; successfully execute designs and ideas into compelling product for the mass market
• Create tech packs with all necessary information: sketch, fabric & trim information, specs, print artwork, print placement etc
• Provide reliable and responsible support to the Design Director
• Effective e-mail communication with factories
• Day to day upkeep of filing and organization
• Tracking and following up on sample development charts to ensure that they are produced correctly and on time
• Shop local markets for design inspiration
• Attend fit sessions; work with tech design team to ensure design intent is maintained

Compensation:

• $80,000+ commensurate with experience
