Raw Materials Manager, Knits (Global Supply Chain) - CALVIN KLEIN

The Raw Materials Manager works closely with Design, Sourcing and Technical Services to source and develop fabrics for the Calvin Klein Brand.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB: 

• Partner with Design to create and maintain world class pre seasonal raw material portfolios.
  • Innovative, trend and product class relevant
  • Cost maximized and price tiered
  • Speed maximized
  • Complementary to x-functional strategy's
  • End in mind  tested to consumer relevant expectations
  • Connectivity across fabric options / yarn substrates
• Responsible for consolidation of fabric quality’s for assigned classification, in partnership with the Product Development Group.
• Negotiate fabric prices to enable the Product Development Group to make informed fiscally responsible decisions.
• Assess and mitigate risk with regard to fabric development / selection.
• Contribute to and execute the Technical Services, Raw Material strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:   Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Raw Materials sourcing and development.

Education:   Bachelor’s Degree in Textiles, Design, or related field strongly preferred

Skills: 

• Microsoft Outlook Windows, required
• Excel- Required
• Web PLM preferred             
• Power Point preferred
• Ability to travel internationally as needed required
