PRIMARY FUNCTION

Manage day-to-day Quality Assurance activities for consumer
products.  Manage the planning and execution of Target Product
Safety Quality Assurance programs and processes to insure all owned
brand products meet the high quality expectations of the Target
guest

Engineer, you'll take the lead as you…

- Support other partners to insure factory evaluations, field
inspections, sourcing validation, and product testing
functions meet Target Product Safety Quality Assurance
(PSQA)department objectives

- Centralize processes and act as a primary contact for field
operations, merchants and sourcing personnel for departments
of responsibility

- Provide appropriate technical direction and guidance to Target
team members, as well as external vendor partners

- Support Product Design & Development as the subject expert in
quality design and manufacturing principles and/or Quality
Assurance

- Coordinate disposition of product test reports and ensure
appropriate follow up with internal and external customers


Requirements

- 4-year Degree in the following:  Manufacturing Engineering,
Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science,
Chemical Engineering/Chemist, Electrical Engineering and/or
other technical disciplines considered or equivalent
experience

- Experience in manufacturing and/or product development in
related field

- Knowledge of quality control/assurance processes and
procedures, such as DMAIC, control charting, cause & effect,
data analysis

- Working knowledge of MS Office software applications and use

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Project Management skills
