Public Relations Manager - Karl Lagerfeld (G-III Licensed Category)

Overview

The Public Relations Manager for Karl Lagerfeld would be responsible for the development and implementation of the overall PR strategy within the brands overarching global business strategy. Further oversee, strategize, maintain, and execute global brand message and awareness. Put into place brand strategy, programs, and messaging that support business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise PR intern/assistant, delegating tasks and tracking progress
  • Participate in annual development and execution of global brand strategy, as well as accompanying budgets; coordinate invoicing and budgetary details for PR department
  • Participate in creation + execution of global celebrity + VIP/influencer dressing and seeding programs, identifying brand-right targets for outreach, loans + gifting
  • Pitch and secure long and short lead brand features and product placements on a global scale

- Responsible for editorial coverage of all product categories (women’s, accessories)

- Support VP of PR with feature/news story placements and brand coverage

 

  • Track, clip and distribute brand press and product placement; create and distribute weekly and monthly press recaps to company and global partners
  • Draft all press materials including seasonal collection overviews, category launches, new store openings and corporate communication
  • Manage execution of all press previews and accompanying VIP events including NY press days; provide recap following each preview including market trend overviews
  • Partner with marketing team to conceive + execute events generating brand awareness and PR value, including brand initiatives, major store openings/new markets and influencer partnerships; secure pre and post event press coverage
  • Create and maintain global short and long lead print, digital and broadcast media lists
  • Cultivate and strengthen meaningful relationships with editors, stylists and influencers through regular outings + attendance at key industry events
  • Oversee all sample trafficking, as well as organization of sample closets and all collection inventory
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in PR/Communications
  • 4+ years experience in Public Relations
