Production/Merchandising Assistant with design background

This is an exciting opportunity for an organized self-starter with outstanding interpersonal skills looking to grow within a leading home goods company!

Responsibilities:

• Compile visual reference sheets for customers

• Prepare & update clear and concise design files for factories

• Ability to make basic design changes in Photoshop & Illustrator

• Experience in InDesign is preferred but not required

• Liaise with members of the design team to ensure that all studio requirements are met before sample requests are sent to factory

• Maintain photo and design libraries & filing systems

• Conduct research on trends & compile thoughtful trend boards

• Photograph new samples & setup showroom displays for customer appointments

• Checking pre-production and production samples by pulling previous samples & corresponding techpacks and ship charts

• Checking in packages and samples

• Take on additional tasks, as necessary

Qualifications:

• Professional design experience preferred

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

• Working knowledge of Excel

• Quick learner with the ability to take direction

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Highly organized and deadline-driven

• Experience in home goods or textiles a plus
