PRODUCTION MANAGER - Wovens, Knits, and Sweaters

Client Overview

Our client is a well-known contemporary brand manufacturing sportswear for department stores, and specialty stores. As a Production Manager you will be responsible for product development and sourcing strategies. Manage the production process meeting all company guidelines and compliances standards. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Production Manager Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of production, including manufacturing, product engineering, product lifecycle, calendar management, trade regulations, fabric performance and garment construction, and testing standards

• Implement and monitor WIP reports seasonal time/action calendars in order to achieve required delivery.

• Track all fabric development utililizing WIP reports

• Create and maintain raw material trim library category!

• Allocate and follow up on product development packages sent to overseas factories for sampling and approvals.

• Communicate with factories on a daily basis monitoring seasonal time and action calendar to ensure deliveries.

• Manage sampling time and action calendar to meet key milestones and monitor on-time delivery of development sample

• Utilize cost matrix by category during proto plan discussions to direct design and product development on raw material selection and style development to meet category cost and margin goals

• Excellent communication, presentation, time management, detail-oriented, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

• Bachelors Degree
• 8 -10 years’ experience in Production
