Production Manager-DKNY Sports Licensing

Overview

A production manager is involved with the planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes. Ensure that goods and services are produced efficiently, and the correct amount is produced at the right cost and at the right level of quality. The scope of the job depends on the nature of the production system: jobbing production, mass production, process production, or batch production. He/ She works within a cross functional team that includes: Design, Sourcing Channels, Merchandising, Technical Services, Logistics, Legal, Allocation and Quality Control, responsible for product and strategies to support end to end process.

Responsibilities

Development tasks involve:

  • Involved in both the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage. A large part of production management involves dealing with people, particularly those who work in your team.
  •  Involved with product design and purchasing. May have to make decisions yourself, and also coordinate with buyer, sale organization planners, and direct supervisors on developing planning, sourcing for each season.
  • Create Styles Master in system (MSC) to monitor the style development and costing.

Production tasks involve:

  • Issue Purchase Order, and overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule;
  • Ensuring that the production is cost effective;
  • Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality;
  • Working out the human and material resources needed;
  • Plan time action calendar for the job process layout;
  • Estimating costs and setting the quality standards;
  • Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed;
  • Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control with team in Hong Kong and overseas vendor.
  • Related well with different departments, e.g. suppliers, managers; designers; buyers
  • Supervising and motivating team workers, and work with direct supervisor to implement the company's policies and goals;
  • Reviewing the performance of subordinates; Identifying training needs.

Qualifications

  • MINIMUN 6 YEARS OF INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IN TEXTILE PRODUCTION, OR EQUAVILENT JOB EXPERIANCE
  • BACHELOR’S DEGREE PREFERRED
  • KNOWLEDGE OF MSC, AS400, RLM, MS OFFICE
