PRODUCTION MANAGER - Children’s and Women’s Apparel

This role is for a Private Label and Licensing company based in NYC that specializes in children’s and women’s apparel. This exciting, fast growing company is looking for a Production Manager to join their Women’s division in their New York City corporate offices.

Salary/Rate: DOE

Position Overview: The Production Manager will be working closely with the Design and PD teams. The Production Manager will act as the liaison between the vendors, design, and development teams with relation to the supply chain and order status of the merchandise. They will act as the leader for the entire Production team in creating and managing orders, achieving deadlines and meeting goals.

Responsibilities of the Production Manager:

• Create and organize PO’s and shipment tracking systems
• Follow up on all QA testing procedures
• Communicate daily with overseas and domestic teams
• Manage shipment approval procedures and logistics
• Review weekly WIP reports
• Utilize and track T&A calendar to assure timeliness of production
• Follow up with vendors on sourcing and submittals including but not limited to color, trims, and testing
• Work collaboratively with Production team and internal partners

Qualifications for the Production Manager:

• Strong communication and presentation skills
• 5-7 years of experience required
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to establish and foster relationships with partnering teams
• Ability to meet deadline demands

Education Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
