Production Coordinator

Overview:

The Donna Karan Company LLC, one of the world's leading fashion houses, is currently seeking a Production Assistant - Handbags to join the Production team in New York, New York.

To aid the production manager in all responsibilities that relate to product development and production of DKNY Accessories.

Responsibilities:

System Responsibilities:                                                                            

• Issuing seasonal cut and managing cut corrections (Partnered with PM)                                           
• System updates for delays/early shipment                                                      
• New vendor setup                                                                                                                                                                                                    
• Estimate and final costing (Partnered with PM)                                      
• EDI hangtag ordering                                                                                    
• Spanish label upload                                                                                      
• Jamilco special shipping/product file

Non-system Related Responsibilities:

• Preclass
• Invoices
• Repairs/QC
• PP and TOP check-in (All divisions)
• Sales sample requests
• Bulk swatch check-in (All divisions)
• Market prep (Binders, tracking, unpacking)
• Sample closet/Binder setup
• Charts (COO, supplier, dimension/weight, material)
• Cut not booked and booked not cut                                                              
• SGS reports  (Thread, material, and hardware)
• Legal Walk through
• Hangtag ordering (Mexico, Spanish, System Hangtag, French/English, Harrods)
• UK and John Lewis price charts
• Authorization letters    
• Specs (Development and production)                                                                                                                        
• Proto and material development tracking chart
• Material and hardware library
• Lab dips
• Tracking of proto specs, corrections, and samples
• Review of cost breakdown sheets
• International pricing chart (Full price)
• Production corrections and additional sample requests

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in merchandising or equivalent
• Entry level 1-3 years’ experience
