Production Assistant

Overview:

G-III Apparel Group, the world's premier designer and manufacturer of quality leather outerwear, dresses, women's suits, sportswear and accessories, with a comprehensive portfolio of over 30 licensed and wholly-owned brands, including Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Kenneth Cole, Cole Haan, Guess?, Tommy Hilfiger, Karl Lagerfeld, Levi’s, Dockers, Jessica Simpson, Vince Camuto, Ellen Tracy, Kensie, Ivanka Trump, and G.H. Bass, among others is seeking a production assistant to join it's team in New York City.

Responsibilities:

Assists in purchase order creation as well as daily maintenance. Partners with managers as well as Merchandising and Sales teams to approve, update, and send any changes to purchase orders.
Communicates with overseas teams in order to stay up-to-date on deliveries and communicates any changes in deliveries to Sales.
Assists with special requests including tracking samples for Public Relations and Global Sales Channels.
Attends SMS and production fittings in order to communicate any changes to cost, style, or delivery.
Administrative Tasks (pulling/analyzing reports, updating charts, PDM updates).
Special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of ACS is preferred but not required.
Bachelors Degree
1-3 years of prior experience
Strong project management skills
Detail and task oriented
