Production Assistant

 Primary Responsibilities

• • Managing on-order file (entering purchase orders into AIMS, sending weekly reports to factory to ensure on-time deliveries, updating cancel dates if an extension is needed)
  • Managing materials/findings on order file, ensuring factory’s stock levels are sufficient
  • Preparing out bound shipments, maintaining an accurate record of all shipments
  • Receiving all production orders and managing QC process
  • Item set up in AIMS
  • Managing EDI orders
  • Assisting Production Manager in managing Shipping Coordinator’s schedule
  • Assisting with shipment of customer orders, as needed
  • Additional projects as assigned by Production Manager
• Skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and ability to prioritize are a must
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a Production Assistant/Coordinator capacity
  • Experience with jewelry preferred, but not necessary
  • Dependable, communicative team player who is able to take direction, but also take initiative, when needed
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, AIMS
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • EDI experience is helpful
