Product Supervisor - Lord & Taylor

Job Description Summary: HBC Digital adds hundreds of new items onto each website each week and the Product Coordinators are the engines behind executing this pipeline. The Product Coordinator is responsible for the active management of the turn-in pipeline, tracking product samples and VPI images through the shoot lifecycle, and providing product information for copy writing. This role will also support the execution of Shop-the-Looks on the web in the turn-in process.
Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the calendar, data, styling and copy information of items (work with Turn-In Manger, Buyers,
  • Merchandising Assistants, and Sample Assistants to ensure item copy and styling accuracy,
  • classification and publication dates)
  • Serve as a liaison to all vendors; maintain vendor information and communication, include proactively
  • following up on copy data and missing samples
  • Prepare and present at web turn-in meetings, including coordination of samples and imagery
  • Generate and distribute reports as needed
  • Partner with Merchandising Assistants to coordinate on-time sample delivery
  • Partner with the Buyer to meet and exceed company targets and objectives
  • Work with Sample Assistants to ensure sample tracking through the turn-in process (i.e. track the
  • whereabouts of samples)
  • Swatch product in preparation for web item set up and colorization
  • Organize image folders

Qualifications

  • Exceptional organizational skills and passion for documentation and process
  • Keen eye for details
  • Persistence and resilience in working with vendors on sample and copy data acquisition
  • Strong Communication skills, written & verbal
  • Understand the importance of relationship management and demonstrate potential to be strong in this
  • area
  • Highly competent with MS Word and Excel
  • Demonstrate analytical skills and good business acumen
  • Team player with self-confidence, assertiveness and personal motivation
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines and manage stress (with a good sense of humor!)
  • Ability to multi-task to meet concurrent deadlines
  • Ability to respond positively and act with a sense of urgency to challenging work and deadlines
