PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Our client is a well-established Ladies, and Children's apparel importer searching for a Product Development Manager for immediate hire. Must have strong fabric knowledge 

Responsibilities:

Manage the development process for knitwear production

• Develop time and action calendars for programs 
• Manage placement strategy and follow-up by recommending product placement
• Involved in all product development and sales meeting projecting future fabrications 
• Evaluate vendor mix and size of vendor base.
• Review final costing file to make sure it meets or exceeds the budget.
• Manage product integrity and order specifications compliance. Approve lab dips, and the general flow of the process
• Plan and execute a strategic sourcing plan to identify strategic partners.
• Knowledge of fabrications- Cut Sewn Knits

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in apparel production and fabric development
• Strong costing and negotiation skills 
• Knowledge and understanding of fabrics and wash
• Microsoft Office Programs
• BA Degree
