Product Development - Home Furnishing Company

The Product Development will manage the product development, shop the market, understand the competition and execute his/her knowledge to cater to the buyer and customer, create product specifications, follow guidelines for specific fit measurements and grade rules, provide the vendor with a sample specification containing enough specific information to ensure the vendor can submit a sample that can be approved on the first submit, develop relationships with vendors' technical staffs to expedite fit or construction problems during development or production and participate in special projects and tasks for the area as required.

Responsibilities:

1. Product develop from Spec and AW. PP and TOP samples follow up.
2. Order placement, follow up
3. Packaging management.
4. Daily follow up with oversea factories.
5. Interview communication with sales, design and shipping department.
6. Shipment booking and logistic management.
7. Strong negotiation skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 4-year Degree in Manufacturing Management or Design.

• At least 2 years in a product development role.

• Experience with retailers is a plus.

• Experience in writing of product technical specifications and in product evaluation.

• Strong computer skills. Illustrator experience is a must.
