PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
A global apparel company headquartered in NYC is looking to hire a full time Product Development Coordinator. The successful candidate will be a detailed oriented individual with excellent communication and project coordination skills. The Product Development Coordinator contributes to the development and production process by coordinating the placement, execution and follow-up of manufacturing orders and by ensuring the timely delivery of such goods.
Key Qualifications:
- Self-starter with ability to function independently as well as in a team based environment.
- Team player with excellent written & communication skills and necessary follow through.
- Great attention to details and deadlines with exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to think creatively with a proven ability to problem solving.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in product logistics preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Daily communications with overseas manufacturers and production offices.
- Directly responsible with issuing purchase orders with overseas factories, tracking production and monitoring delivery status to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Oversee all time-and-action calendars and production charts.
- Initiate and track samples and material requests and approvals. Responsible for follow-up on all product specifications, quality standards, lab dips, testing, sample deadlines, and deliveries. Advise manager of exceptions and best solutions.
- Process all Data entry into our Filemaker system- Including style set up, and creating and maintaining Purchase orders to the factory.
- Follow up with factories for all pre-production, TOP, sales samples and customer samples.
- Responsible to ensure manufactured goods comply with customer’s vendor style guides.
- Assist PD managers on projects as needed.
