PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Department:  Product Development – Collection & Star USA – cut & sew knits and sweaters

Reports To:  Product Development Manager & Director of Product Development

Purpose and Scope

The Production Development Coordinator will assist in coordinating information for product development of new styles from initial concept through production hand off. Specific focus on cut & sew knits, sweaters and accessories.

Job Responsibilities

RESPONSISBITLIES

• Assist in line development process from concept through sales samples.
• Ensure fabric line list is always updated with the most recent updates.
• Daily communication with overseas team.
• Sample tracking. Check, log, and distribute samples to the right teams.
• Issue PO’s, Submit sample invoices to Accounts Payable
• Manage sample flow and storage; unpack, check, and distribute incoming samples/    submits.
• Works on other relevant projects as required by manager
• Provide administrative support

BASIC SKILL SET

• Basic understanding of fabric development. Knits & sweater development preferred.
• Basic understanding of garment construction, product development and production process.
• Minimum 1-2 years in product development and data management
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Strong time management skills; ability to adhere to deadlines
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Must have great excel skills
• Excellent follow-up and follow through skills.

Education and Training

• Bachelor’s Degree required

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience within the apparel industry
