PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT

This role is for one of New York’s finest contemporary fashion brands specializing in RTW, , accessories, handbags, footwear and more. This exciting, fast growing company is looking for a talented Product Development Assistant to work in their New York Design offices.

Salary/Rate: Open/DOE

Position Overview: The Product Development Assistant will be working closely with the design team to create a collection for the following season. The Product Development Assistant will act as the liaison between the vendors, design, and buying teams with relation to the supply chain and order status of the merchandise. They will act as the main support for the entire PD team in maintaining orders, achieving deadlines, and meeting goals.

Responsibilities:

• Daily communication with vendors and factories abroad
• Oversee all incoming and outgoing merchandise
• Input all merchandise orders and manage updates
• Assure delivery and ship windows are met
• Work closely with the design team to assure product and quality standards are met
• Competitive shopping and research

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to establish and foster relationships with partnering teams
• Ability to meet deadline demands
• Internship experience preferred

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree- or equivalent
