Product Development and Production Assistant

Dagne Dover bags and accessories are made for our on-the-go generation. We solve the worry about finding your keys or wallet, and the panic from a leaky water bottle spilling all over your laptop, papers and phone. We have a growing collection of smartly designed bags, with a variety of functional solutions, including a laptop sleeve, iPad sleeve, water bottle holder, keystrap, ID/metrocard holder and more. 

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the VP of Sourcing and Production
  • Support the development and production processes throughout the product life cycle
  • Execute daily/weekly priorities with accurate and consistent delivery
  • Actively participate in material, lab dips, product, order reviews and follow up
  • Constantly upkeep PD and production tools
  • Support calendar timelines to maintain key product milestones
  • Build and maintain strong cross functional partnerships with Design, Planning, Logistics, Customer Service, as well as international suppliers and vendors
  • Ship and track materials and samples as needed.
  • Track and monitor material and sample invoicing
  • Upkeep showroom storage on a regular & seasonal basis

You:

  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to multi task, face multiple timelines and manage priorities
  • Have strong follow-up skills with internal and external partners
  • React quickly in an exciting growing environment
  • Are deadline-focused and highly organized
  • Are excited by a challenge, with the ability to execute projects under the VP’s direction
  • Have knowledge of retail product development, technical design, and manufacturing process
  • Have strong knowledge of Excel, and preferred knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Are excited and able to travel domestically and internationally
  • Are an enthusiastic individual and motivated team player
