Leather Accessories Company is looking for a Product Development Assistant to support the full cycle design process for all products with oversight from the Design Director.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Use of the Following Computer Applications-
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite / MAC Photoshop & Illustrator
Adobe Photoshop
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
1-2 years of related experience
Bachelor of Arts degree preferred
Essential Job Functions:
CAD, Belt, Hardware, Wallet, Packaging Knowledge
Experience & Skills Required:
Team oriented, Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; and highly detail oriented
Create development technical specs with information necessary in order to communicate design specific details to factory
Work directly with factories to develop new products and problem solve design issues, including daily communication via email as well
Manage development of product, moving products from concept to technical design to ensure set timelines
Prepare sample requests, and approve submitted samples while adhering to product, color and material standards
Adjust product styling or functionality as needed after receiving feedback from license
Work/Environment/Benefits:
Office environment. Extended periods of sitting, typing and looking at a computer screen.
Primary time worked will be between 9:00 am – 5:30 pm, Mon-Fri
