PRODUCT COORDINATOR

Perry Ellis International is seeking a Product Coordinator for its Rafaella division to act as a liaison between design/merchandising and overseas partners. The Product Coordinator will be responsible for creating all style packages and sales sample Purchase Orders, executing the overall development process by ensuring all development of styles are on calendar in time for sales meetings and market week, as well as communicating sales sample status and overall development timing to merchandising, design, and buying teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own product lifecycle from development through production by being the point person for style in PLM, managing daily communication with overseas partners, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product accuracy and adherence to calendar
  • Create and reveal style packages to overseas partners at beginning of development season and in-season as new business opportunities arise
  • Own weekly work in progress meetings (WIP) to ensure all submittals and sales samples are progressing in a timely manner and communicate status to internal and external partners
  • Maintain development status with dates of fabric, trim, proto, and sales sample approvals
  • Partner closely with Merchandising, Design, Sourcing, and Technical Design, to ensure all changes are reflected accurately in style packages
  • Maintain a development library per season with all submittals for area of responsibility
  • Send out fabric/trim qualities and color standards to overseas partners
  • Submit sales sample Purchase Orders via PLM
  • Track and organize all proto and salesman samples and communicate risks accordingly
  • Be an integral part of team, assisting with special projects and deadlines as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years work experience in product development/production environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of PLM a plus
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player
