Product Associate Manager

Overview:

G-III Apparel Group, the world's premier designer and manufacturer of quality leather outerwear, dresses, women's suits, sportswear and accessories, with a comprehensive portfolio of over 30 licensed and wholly-owned brands, including Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Kenneth Cole, Cole Haan, Guess?, Tommy Hilfiger, Karl Lagerfeld, Levi’s, Dockers, Jessica Simpson, Vince Camuto, Ellen Tracy, Kensie, Ivanka Trump, and G.H. Bass, among others is seeking a Product Associate to join it's team based on New York City. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all PO set up and Po maintenance
  • Requests and analyzes all costing, and help manager to negotiate the costing with factories
  • Reviews all costing with manager and makes sure we have an accurate cost for everything that has been developed.
  • Updates Database with po’s numbers cooresponding to each order, ensuring all orders are cut accurately and in time based on sales needs and drop dead dates
  • Manages and Audits all style master set up in AS400- including MSRP Set up, NRF Code, HTS codes, duty rates.
  • Attends all Fcty meetings and helps Manager to prep for the meeting.
  • Creates and maintains picture line plan with all styles developed for each season
  • Works with manager on target retail and target fob’s for design team to design into
  • Become an expert in costing for respective category (leather or non leather), is able to measure bags, convert to new materials and challenges costing
  • Works gross margin roll up by material
  • Works with Manager to pre-negotiate capacity prior to each season.
  • Fully understands production calendar
  • Audits their po’s and work for accuracy against turn ins and database and reviews discrepancy’s with Manager or Director.
  • Attends all Turn in’s, keeping detailed notes from the meetings, an- follows up on all outstanding 
  • Daily correspondence with Asian Fcty
  • Be able to effectively manage time and multi-task, pay strong attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Extreme attention to details, highly accurate & organized
  • 2-4 years’ office experience with a focus in Production/PD (preferably in the wholesale industry)
  • Willing to take initiative and exercise strong  problem solving skills 
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal relationship abilities
  • Proficiency in Excel and Outlook required
  • Ability to manage tasks in a high pressure environment & meet deadlines
