Print/Textile Designer for Junior Apparel Paper Cut Clothing LLC –New York, NY  

Job Description

• Communicate with the Design Director regarding new projects, trend research, and development
• Creating production ready patterns
• Creating new layouts from purchased artworks
• Indexing/color separating purchased artworks, for rotary & screen printing
• Creating pattern repeats and detail pages for on order artworks
• Recoloring artworks based on customer needs, & seasonal trend/color direction
• Keeping track of the print archive
• Print Copyrighting & organize
• Creating hand drawn/computer drawn motifs for new artworks
• Sketching fashion flats in illustrator is a plus
• Provide support and back-up to CAD team as needed
• Must have strong skill set in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
• Must have strong color sense
• Needs to work well in a team atmosphere
• 2-5 years’ experience required
• Bachelor's degree required in any of the following majors: surface/textile/print/fashion/graphic design
