PRINT DESIGNER WANTED

Boutique Design Company Specializing in Fitness Equipment/Accessories and Apparel.  (Yoga Mats, fitness belts, gloves etc.).  Is looking for a seasoned strong Senior Designer to join their team.  Products are found in all mid-tier department stores.

Job Summary:

Will handle everything from soup to nuts.  From inception to final product.  Keeps abreast and researches relevant trends and communicates with the cross functional teams. 

Position Responsibilities:

- Work with manager to create seasonal direction in silhouette, fabric, prints and concept for business, keeping true to the overall design direction.

- Use trend intelligence and an understanding of the business to design and execute line

- Understand the fundamentals of the production process as it relates to the classification.

- Initiates tech packs, including detailed sketches, fabric construction, trimmings, etc.; also include extensive pitch sheet with all color way information, pattern layout/placement information.

- AI Files

- Packaging

- Create and update seasonal assortment sheet.

Position Requirements:

- 5+ plus years of fitness apparel, accessories design experience. 

- Strong sketching skills. 

- Understanding of the youth market

- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities. 

- Takes a solution-oriented approach. 

- Excellent organizational and communication skills. 

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Photoshop, & Illustrator
