PRINT DESIGNER - Women's Apparel

Leading Contemporary Apparel Company seeking creative experienced Women's apparel print designer to join our team. Candidate must possess expertise in print design with a proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator. We are looking for a motivated designer with a sharp eye for color, detail and design with the ability to take direction to develop prints and YD’s that are in line with our brand’s aesthetic.  The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment with the ability to be creative and work independently, identifying the needs and adapting to specific tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years experience designing prints and YD’s for the Contemporary Women’s and Plus size apparel market.

• Create, manipulate, and color all artwork which is needed for apparel and product design (all types of prints in repeat, graphics, YD’s, plaids and stripes, sublimation prints, appliqués, embroideries, etc.).

• Prioritize and organize creative product work requests based on the seasonal calendar to meet established deadlines.

• Focused attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects at once and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines

• Work closely with design team to create and implement design concepts consistent with brand strategies.

• Good eye for design. Proven ability to create fashion right saleable print/pattern/embroideries/embellishments/trims/graphics.

• Strong color sense and ability to create coordinate collections of print/pattern work.

• Team player; must work well under pressure

• Ability to take initiative

• Organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

• Must have strong Photoshop, Illustrator and Excel computer skills.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Print/Cad/Textile/Graphic Design, or related field, required

• 5+ years work experience with a relevant print/textile organization
