Plant Manager Assistant

We are looking for a person who has the potential to be a plant manager within six months to a year.

Summary:

This individual will be responsible for assisting the plant manager in overseeing/managing all aspects of sewing plant operations while ensuring efficiency, safety, quality, cost and productivity goals are achieved. You will have 4 direct reports (production).

The ideal candidate will have (Quaifications):

  • Apparel or textile manufacturing experience in production, engineering, training, operations, maintenance, or related area
  • 5+ years leadership experience in manufacturing or engineering in an apparel or textile setting.
  • Has some experience in a union environment (not required, but preferred)
  • Can collaborate with other functions in the facility and bring people together (quality, engineering, maintenance, training, etc.)
  • Is a strong leader & change manager who can raise employee engagement in the facility
  • Displays the following leadership competencies:

Leading Self: ethics & integrity, passion for excellence, self-awareness, cultural alignment

Leading Others: optimizing talent, communication, alignment/collaboration, execution/leading change

Leading Business: strategy/vision, innovation, business & financial acumen
