PLANNER

Our client, a department store, is seeking a Planner for their location in New York City. This person will be directly responsible for developing pre-season plans in all aspects of business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee performance of current plans and make revisions where necessary
  • Provides analytical data to help support the Buyers with merchandising strategies
  • Oversee all financial plans and collaborate with the merchant team on a regular basis to edit to reflect current trends
  • Proactive in looking for opportunities that go beyond the everyday business
  • Lead and develop Planning team through the entirety of the planning process
  • Prepares hindsight analysis to identify missed opportunities for future plans and strategies

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4-7 years of experience in a merchandise and planning environment
  • Experience at a vendor/category level with planning
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of financial measurements, sales, gross margin, etc.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
