PLANNER
Our client, a department store, is seeking a Planner for their location in New York City. This person will be directly responsible for developing pre-season plans in all aspects of business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee performance of current plans and make revisions where necessary
- Provides analytical data to help support the Buyers with merchandising strategies
- Oversee all financial plans and collaborate with the merchant team on a regular basis to edit to reflect current trends
- Proactive in looking for opportunities that go beyond the everyday business
- Lead and develop Planning team through the entirety of the planning process
- Prepares hindsight analysis to identify missed opportunities for future plans and strategies
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4-7 years of experience in a merchandise and planning environment
- Experience at a vendor/category level with planning
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of financial measurements, sales, gross margin, etc.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
