Job Overview
The Planner will assist in the strategic management of the total Gilt City Business. The Planner is responsible for providing in-season financial projections, strategies and identifying risks and opportunities to maximize profits. This role will drive and/or contribute to projects resulting in improved efficiency and performance.
Essential Responsibilities
- Ownership of Pre-Season Annual Plans and Monthly Forecasts
- Partner with Gilt City leadership team to analyze business and identify growth opportunities
- Effectively communicate revenue performance and competitive market dynamics to Gilt City leadership team and cross-functional partners
- Create seasonal performance goals for the Sales team by individual and provide in-season tracking
- Ensure best practices for brand partnership selection
- Provide analysis and research to support the creation of the assortment matrix and buy plans
- Evaluate purchase order placement activity as well we the maintenance of and revisions made to purchase orders
- Query and analyze sales and profit margin data to gain market knowledge, and leverage that knowledge to inform future decisions
- Manage and develop two direct reports
Qualifications
- 5+ years Planning and/or Strategy experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred
- Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills required
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to interact and report on business with cross functional teams and across all levels of management
- Strong leadership, analytical and problem solving skills, adaptability/flexibility and initiative
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast paced environment
