PATTERNMAKER - Woven Dresses & Blouses
General Overview:
An individual with the technical expertise that enables them to execute a clear and comprehensive pattern from a concept given to them by design that meets Tahari ASL standards for fit, construction and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Works closely with Design team, the Master Pattern maker, and the Technical Designers to create patterns that provide factories with clear and comprehensive pattern to ensure that the factory can deliver products that meet Tahari ASL standards for fit, construction and quality
- Work closely with the Senior Pattern maker to ensure that all patterns are created with a corresponding & comprehensive cutter’s must.
- Work closely with the director of the department to ensure that all patterns made are digitized in the BMS system.
- Assist in preparing for fit sessions by making sure that all garments received from factories are measured and the information is recorded accurately to ensure that all samples are ready by the time each fit session starts
- Assist in working on any Quality Issues that might arise in the corresponding production area. For example – going to Millburn to execute a Quality Inspection and/or traveling overseas
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- 2 years of Technical/pattern making expertise with a high end retail organization.
- At least 2 years’ experience in Woven Dresses and Blouses
- Draping skills are a must to create muslins to be approved and hard patterns
- College level education with an emphasis on pattern making
