Role Mandate:

The Merchandise Operations Lead oversees the performance and development of the Merchandise Assistants. The MO lead oversees the clerical tasks and data entry related to specific merchandise departments of the company. The Merchandise Operations Lead partners with the Buying Team to measure demand (e.g., for purchase order entry, item set-ups, and price changes), and dispatches Merchandise Assistants to that work in a balanced way. The MO lead also oversees quality control for the work and helps Merchandise Assistants problem solve on issues/flag issues appropriately to the Buying Team as needed.

Qualifications

·        Communicate with buying offices to measure demand for Merchandise Assistants’ work (e.g., number of orders, number of items to be set-up, amount of price changes, etc.)

·        Dispatch and balance demand coming in from Buying Team amongst Merchandise Assistants

·        Supervise and quality check the Merchandise Assistants’ activities

·        As issues arise, help Merchandise Assistants problem solve issues and flag as appropriate to buying team

·        Conduct semi-annual performance reviews

·        Train, motivate and develop team to ensure effective performance and growth

·        Oversee implementation of new systems, process upgrades, etc. as needed
