Responsibilities:

 

  • Work with manager to develop seasonal sales, receipt budgets and flow by month
  • Forecast sales weekly and present at monthly forecast meeting
  • Analyze weekly selling results and make recommendations to capitalize on trend
  • Plan core and fashion styles to ensure the flow of receipts supports the current and future business
  • Manage seasonal inventory and make recommendations in regards to markdowns or promotions
  • Analyze promotional events, influence development of promotional calendar
  • Analyze aged inventory as well as risk in inventory for potential marking down of merchandise
  • Develop hindsight and market preparation
  • Partner with buying during market to build assortment sales and ownership plans 
  • Key business partner: buying group, allocation, store planning
 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

 

 

  • bachelor degree
  • exceptional analytical/retail math skills
  • 3-5 years of prior retail planning or merchandise planning experience in a retail environment 
  • strong communication and presentation skills
  • advance proficiency with excel required
  • excellent time-management and organization skills
  • flexibility to multi-task and able to thrive in a fast paced environment
  • ability to analyze retail business at a macro/micro level
  • dynamic, positive, and fun person to work with
  • JDA/EP experience a plus
