MERCHANDISE ASSISTANT - Leading Fashion Retailer

Our client, a Leading Fashion Retailer, is searching for a Freelance Merchandise Assistant to join their renowned team in New York City.

The Freelance Merchandise Assistant will utilize his/her sharp sense of organization and design to support the merchandise team as they develop merchandise plans, IGP’s, and tracking charts.

Duties include:

• Regularly analyze and report on sales
• Perform seasonal hindsight and use data to develop new assortments
• Assist with the presentation and visual merchandising of products across all ecommerce and wholesale channels
• Manage SKU counts; maintain inventory
• Perform visual merchandising maintenance on all sites
• Facilitate sample requests
• Work with cross-functional staff on administrative, technical, and product-related tasks for new and existing items

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of retail math
• Minimum 1-3+ years within the fashion or retail industry
• Meticulous and detail-oriented
• Strong time-management, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Computer savvy with advanced proficiency in MS Office programs; capacity to quickly learn new programs as needed
• Innovative with a creative approach to problem solving
