MERCHANDISE ALLOCATOR


Position Summary:

Responsible for the allocation and in-season management of
Women’s Apparel, Shoes & Accessories, and licensed products for
US and CA Stores and Shops. This includes managing the flow of
receipts and maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
Understand the relationship of assortment planning and
merchandise allocation to meet financial plans and
profitability. Partner with the Buyers and other departments to
insure timely delivery and execution.


Responsibilities:

• Allocate merchandise at style/color/size level based on
management direction and allocation objectives

• Reporting -weekly and seasonal analysis of all categories
within Women’s Apparel, Shoes & Accessories and Licensed
Products

• Conducts style, color, size and store selling analysis

• Monitor exceptions on merchandise stock levels and recommends
necessary adjustments

• Recommend store transfers and consolidations

• Create and communicate Product Knowledge seasonally. Partner
with Buyers, Creative & Brand, and Store Training
departments.

• Seasonal preparations for Markets to facilitate precise and
timely buys

• Enter all Seasonal buys and check for accuracy

• Partner with Licensed Vendors to place orders and track
deliveries

• Enter and maintain all Markdowns within area of responsibility

• Weekly Store visits in NYC


System Technology

• Utilize standard reporting through web based merchandise
systems SAP Retail / BIS Reporting

• Utilize SAP for merchandise inquiry management


Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree, 1 – 3 years assistant buying and
or/allocation experience

• Proficient in Excel & PC operation

• Oral and written communication

• Flexible/Multi-tasking

• Excellent organization skills & detail oriented

• Relationship building with cross-functional teams in multiple
countries

• Self-motivated

• Positive “can do” attitude
