The Visual Merchandising Manager (Womens) supports the Sr. Visual Merchandising Director while managing the visual presentation for women’s through-out the product lifecycle from adoption to in-store execution. This role will work closely with Visual Merchandising, Visual Projects, Merchandising, Planning and Allocation partners.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Focused accountability on Women’s Apparel and Women’s Accessories
  • Collaborate on shared initiatives and special projects, ensuring consistency across departments
  • Must be able to participate in/manage the merchandising of other departments at any time
  • Act as main merchandising point person to Women’s Merchant team
  • Responsible for merchandising new creative presentations for all Women’s Big Ideas setups, seasonally
    • Partner with Visual Planning Team to determine given space
    • Collaborate with CFT teams to understand Big Ideas vision and needs
    • Execute Big Ideas presentations in collaboration with CFT and Merchandising Team partners
    • Photograph and catalog all Big Ideas photos seasonally
  • Responsible for merchandising new creative presentations for all Women’s Live Floorset setups, seasonally
    • Partner with Planning Team to determine any sku updates/changes in preparation for Live Floorset
    • Collaborate with CFT teams to review Floorset presentations prior to Live Floorset
    • Execute Live Floorset presentations in collaboration with CFT and Merchandising Team partners
    • Attend and participate in all Live Floorset workthroughs and team walkthroughs
  • Responsible for merchandising new creative presentations for all Store of the future setups, seasonally
  • New merchant initiatives- provide suggested merchandising set ups to accommodate needs/address objectives of tests, as related to Women’s
  • Competitive Shopping (AOR)
    • Create and maintain a library of competitive shopping photos and inspirational images
    • Organize images and create inspiration boards for presentations as necessary
    • Organize monthly competitive shopping trips, create a comprehensive agenda for each trip
    • Participate in monthly comp shopping trips, focused on current merchandising needs in all departments
  • Mannequin looks
    • Collaborate with CFT partners on pulling and dressing of all Big Ideas, In-store and Window mannequin looks, as related to Women’s
  • Execute and photograph seasonal displays for Women’s
  • Collaborate with Merchandising Team partners to ensure consistency, clarity and balance in Big Ideas across all departments
  • Training Content
    • Collaborate with Visual Projects team to contribute merchandising information for all necessary training documents
    • Collaborate with Visual Projects and Global Communications team to contribute merchandising information for VMCS Principles
  • NSOs
    • Attend major NSOs as necessary, plan and oversee execution of merchandising presentations
  • Attend Conferences/Trade Shows as necessary
  • Attend Team Training/Development Classes as necessary

 

Qualifications:       

  • College degree in Visual, Marketing preferred or relevant visual retail experience
  • 6-8 years of experience in Visual Presentation
  • High aesthetic and excellent visual merchandising skills
  • Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Professional demeanor and proactive approach
  • Ability to interface with all levels within the organization
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible to changing priorities
  • Microsoft Professional Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite skillset
  • Ability to travel
  • Manage the budget
  • Responsible for day-to-day decision-making for assigned division
  • Responsible for setting visual strategy for assigned division
  • Ability to make decision based on selling and sell through
  • Ability to find cost-effective project solutions
  • Must be able to research companies to contact for the dept.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines
  • Detail oriented/innovative traits necessary
  • Must be able to find best solutions and developing methods to improve efficiency
