Manager Studio Photography - L & T

Job Description

The Manager Photographer will be responsible for shooting stills (hard and soft goods and jewelry) for our e-commerce site. They will also be responsible for ensuring all imagery meets the company image standards and will perform daily quality control of assets.They will also be responsible for managing the stills photography with a team of photographers, Jr. Photographers, Digital Techs and freelancers. They will be expected to understand the larger e-Commerce process and have an in-depth knowledge of company deadlines. Partnering with manager to ensure efficient workflow of merchandise throughout the photography process to ensure we need our daily SLA.

 

 

·         Ability to photograph all item types for ecommerce including editorial if necessary

 

·         Composes shots based on style guides to meet with our vision.

 

·         Use of Photoshop to perform retouching functions

 

·         Execute highest of standards by setting up lighting, composition, color accuracy, and exposure for each shot.

 

·         Set and monitor daily goals for the photography team

 

·         Provide supervision as well as mentoring, training, development, and performance management of the photography team.

 

·         Preform daily quality control and address results with the photography team.

 

·         Self-driven and effectively communicate feedback to others.

 

·         Research and implement best practices (i.e. capture software and equipment).

 

·         Collaborate with sister companies on standards

 

·         Weekly equipment inspections and auditing.

 

·         Meets very challenging daily deadlines while maintaining standards

 

Qualifications

·         Post-secondary degree or diploma in photography or related field.

 

·         5-8 years as a photographer in an E-commerce Photography environment

 

·         Knowledge of photographic techniques such as lighting & composition

 

·         Expert knowledge in color correction

 

·         Ability to work within deadlines, thinking creatively to increase productivity and throughput

 

·         Results driven and a sense of urgency

 

·         Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills

 

·         Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment.

 

·         Excellent knowledge with Phase One Capture One software and studio lighting equipment

 

·         Superior skills with Photoshop.

 

·         Excellent knowledge operating experience of Mac OS

 

·         Experience with Microsoft Office

 

·         Strong problem solving skills, ability to perform under pressure and demonstrated leadership skills.

 

·         Ability to set priorities, problem solve multi-task and meet deadlines.
