Major Responsibilities

The role of the Manager, Store Planning & Capital Project is to forecast and summarize the budgets, schedules, and milestones for all Store Planning, Store Design, and Construction capital projects (new stores, major/minor renovations and all Merchant capital initiatives). The Manager, Store Planning & Capital Project will always work toward continually developing and improving the processes and communications of the Store Planning department.


Role responsibilities include:


  • Assist the DVP, Store Planning Capital Projects with maintaining accountabilities for all project schedules/milestones.
  • Maintain consistent and regular follow up and communication of current and upcoming deliverables across all groups (Store Planning / Construction / Store Design / Procurement).
  • Facilitate the communication of weekly tracker meeting minutes and assist the DVP, Store Planning Capital Projects with the weekly management / updates to the Project Tracker.
  • Record and track the details of any/all project specific meetings and communicate notes / follow-ups / responsibilities.
  • Lead regularly scheduled meetings/updates with all teams in the absence of the DVP, Store Planning Capital Projects.
  • Assist DVP, Store Planning Capital Projects with Letter of Agreements through coordination, communication, and follow up related to vendor investments/partnerships. This process includes direct communication with the Vendor(s), Merchants, Finance, Legal, Store Planning, and Construction.
  • Data gather and follow up with the Vendor and Construction teams for final pricing of the project.  Using this to create and amend Purchase Orders to tie the projects financially to the LOA’s.
  • Establish and maintain great collaborative relationships with the Merchants, Vendors, Finance, Store Planning, Construction, Store Design, and Procurement teams.
  • Assist DVP, Store Planning Capital Projects with the annual capital requests by assisting in the coordination, communication, and follow up related to vendor shop and merchant initiative requests. These processes include assisting in the development of presentation decks, recaps, and communications.

Professional Qualifications


  • ·         Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a business or process role
  • ·         Knowledge of the retail or construction industry a plus
  • ·         Excellent financial acumen
  • ·         Demonstrated experience in building strong relationships with internal and external stake holders
  • ·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ·         Exceptional problem solving and process improvement skills
  • ·         Experience working with Microsoft Office applications
