MANAGER, PRODUCTION (Beauty and Bath)

Production

From sourcing raw materials to manufacturing, order placement, pricing and quality control and getting the finished product where it needs to be, our production team is responsible for ensuring we keep our standards high and our business profitable at every step of the journey. Specific Responsibilities Would Include

The Manager of Production manages the execution and follow-up of manufacturing requirements to ensure the timely delivery of quality and profitable goods.

PRODUCTION

  • Attend daily/weekly meetings with Design, Development and Sales to review retail program initiatives to determine development requirements and financial goals.
  • Partner with Design to develop concepts in support of product cost, quality and delivery requirements.
  • Work closely with Hong Kong team to evaluate and recommend sourcing allocation based on product profile and cost objectives.
  • Negotiate pricing and delivery of projects against aggressive timelines with worldwide manufacturing partners.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Create and manage product lifecycles from concept to production; communicate and drive development requirements and critical deadlines.
  • Work closely with Demand Planning and Operations to ensure forecast and avail commits align with production and delivery schedules.

COMPLIANCE

  • Partner with China Compliance counterparts to ensure development adheres to product specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Troubleshoot development and technical issues with factories to meet production quality and aesthetic standards.
  • Share Quality, Regulatory and Safety insights to ensure team is creating products that will meet consumer expectations.
  • Support research and formula testing; Create, review and approve product testing documents.
  • Review test reports and provide interpretation of results in support of development requirements and implementation of corrective actions as needed.

  • Perform special projects as assigned
  • Travel to factories and international trade shows, where appropriate
  • Contribute positively to team dynamic and manage up where necessary

  • Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills; team oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented and meticulous
  • Creativity, technical capability and sensibility for merchandising/design
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, materials, tooling and print techniques
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in manufacturing and sourcing; relevant experience in category
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, PLM, SAP

Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000
