Manager Of Denim Wash Development
Job Description
One Jeanswear Group designs, markets, produces, and distributes a distinguished portfolio of branded and private label Jeanswear brands throughout North America. We currently have a great opportunity for Manager of Denim Wash Development. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist and support Director of Wet Process Product Development in all Product development/Production Wash Approval functions
- Ability to make bulk wash approval comments for multiple brands
- Ability to communicate with production facilities and overseas wash team in order to expedite wash approval
- Working knowledge of all Wet/Dry process technical terms
- Partner with design when making wash comments
- Resolve development and bulk production issues with factories and sample rooms
- Communicate critical issues to manager
- Partner with design to review standards to ensure all processes are accurate
- Attend costing meetings when needed
- Help identify potential production, quality and costing issues and make recommendations to mitigate risk during wash submit review
- Partner with production teams to ensure all costing is done accurately
- Help establish/maintain Store Bought sample library
- Identify and organize wash submits and approvals
- Assist in developing new wet process ideas and trends
- Ability to travel overseas

- 5+ years of previous wash development experience
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Illustrator
- Working Knowledge of PLM
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Expertise in denim and non-denim wash methods required
- Working knowledge of garment manufacturing process
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Track processes and monitor production deadlines
