Role Mandate:

This position will support the development of the omni-channel marketing calendar and sales plans, maintain reporting and conduct analysis to determine marketing effectivess, and create and analyze tests to improve effectiveness. He or she will work with cross-functional teams to interpret results and make recommendations on sales-driving initiatives. In addition, this position will make recommendations regarding allocation of the marketing budget to support sale-driving and branding initiatives.

 

 

 

Responsibilities include:

·        Participate in development of seasonal marketing plans, including promotional events, new sales driving initiatives

·        Develop daily forecasts (i.e. event sales, holiday shifts, weather impacts) and relevant summaries.

·        Participate in the presentation of the seasonal sales plans to senior management – prepare the meeting materials including sales plans, account histories & other supporting documents as needed.

·        Make recommendations regarding budget allocation across digital and traditional channels to support sales

·        Maintain monthly/quarterly presentations for departmental review. 

·        Create Ad-hoc reports designed to interpret results and provide solutions.

·        Provide recommendations to the organization based on analysis and interpretation of sales data.

·        Synthesize data from multiple sources to create “post-mortem” reports, identifying key learnings from marketing events and tests; produce actionable conclusions based on the results of analyses to colleagues.

·        Perform competitive analyses/actions; gather market/industry research as needed.

·        Work closely with Marketing teams, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Digital teams on analytics, strategy, and meeting materials.

·        Work cross-functionally to develop, execute, and evaluate tests to improve marketing tactics and financial performance.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Accounting or related field; or equivalent experience

·        Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills; ability to structure analysis to answer ambiguous questions

·        Ability to tailor presententation of analysis to various audiences

·        Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.  Ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast paced and dynamic environment with a high degree of personal accountability.  Must be think like an owner and be able to communicate the business story.

·        Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/responsibilities concurrently.

·        3-5 years experience in retail or consumer packaged goods and exposure to retail planning metrics (sales, margins, promotions, ROAS, etc.)

·        Prior experience in strategic planning, sales forecasting, management consulting, financial analysis or related role

·        Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Word, Powerpoint; advanced Excel skills

·        Experience in data mining across multiple large data sets with solid understanding of relational database structures.  SQL and statistical experience a plus.
