Manager, Licensing - Calvin Klein
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Licensing Manager closely monitors licensees to ensure that the requirements are upheld and to foster business growth. This position will provide management and/or support for a group of North America and Global Licensees (excluding Calvin Klein Home)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Day-to-day management of a specific group of licensees
- Monitor licensees monthly financials, forecasting, and sales trends to provide an on-going analysis of the business; assess any royalty opportunity or risk versus budget
- Support the execution of new license agreements, renewals, and amendments
- Oversee the consolidation and maintenance of all databases that compile wholesale & retail financials, door counts, approved accounts, etc.
- Spearhead licensee business development opportunities and other ad hoc initiatives
- Analyze licensees quarterly sales reports to ensure adherence of approved accounts and distribution as well as highlight opportunities
- Monitor licensee’s adherence to contracts regarding use of mark, product, pricing, etc.
- Assess all new account and/or FSS store requests and obtain approval from senior management
- Assist with the Pre-Budget and Budget Licensing presentations and other ad hoc Senior Management needs
- Provide and collect information to/from regional offices on all licensees applicable to international markets
- Develop new business opportunities, conduct market research; provide assessment to Senior Management
- Visit local stores to see new product launches, new FSS/SIS, corporate initiatives and to monitor product presentation
- Manage Licensing Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a fashion brand in the apparel licensing industry
- Strong financial analytical skills
- Knowledge of the retail and competitive brand landscape
- Must possess strong influencing skills
- Highly service oriented
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and communication skills
