MANAGER, HUMAN RESOURCES (RETAIL)

Specific Responsibilities Would Include

The Human Resources Manager (Retail) is responsible for partnering with Store Management to coordinate and implement policies and best practices throughout the Centric Brands retail store organization supporting brands like Joe’s Jeans, Herve Leger and Robert Graham. The HR Manager will recommend, develop, and implement operational programs, build talent and development opportunities, and manage policies, procedures and events that create and reinforce a positive employee culture. 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Management:

  • Develop, implement, and manage recruitment strategies, ensuring a diverse talent pool for store leadership positions, reflective of the organization’s commitment to inclusivity.
  • Support the full cycle recruitment process including sourcing, screening, interviewing, recommending candidates for hire, conducting reference checks and facilitating offers for employment.
  • Lead the performance management process within the store organization, including annual reviews, mid-year check ins and talent assessment; Partner with store leadership to create additional tools to ensure an environment of continuous feedback.
  • Coach and aid in the development of the Retail Management team.
  • Create, facilitate and/or implement training for Retail (i.e. Performance Management, Leadership Development, Coaching and Feedback, Communication, Interviewing Skills, etc.).
  • Ensure team development plans (training, documentation, resolution, performance counseling) are being executed and deadlines are met.

Employee Relations:

  • Act as an internal consultant for all Associate Relations issues including formal corrective actions, terminations, harassment/discrimination investigations and other policy related issues.
  • Coach and advise field management on performance management conversations and documentation.
  • Investigate any complaints in conjunction with legal counsel (if needed).

Customers & Relationships:

  • Spearhead initiatives to support a positive, diverse, and inclusive workplace culture within the store organization.
  • Ensure clear communication from corporate offices to the field organization with brand consistency
  • Act as strong business partner that supports the field organization; meeting and exceeding their business objectives.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • 5+ years HR Retail experience
  • 2+ years of leadership and management experience
  • Strong understanding of retail operations & HR practices in a best-in-class environment
  • Broad knowledge of HR practices including employee relations, performance management, compensation, and learning & development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full functional knowledge of HR generalist responsibilities
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
  • Ability to travel in assigned areas up to 25% of the time

Salary Range: $83,000 - $104,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
